Upper Captiva Annual Tournament 2024.

Thank you for Participating in the 1st Annual Bait & Banter Upper Captiva Fishing Tournament. The Tournament is being graciously hosted by our friends and local restaurant Mainstay. The tournament will kickoff on the evening of Friday November 1st with a dinner and captains meeting. Fishing will take place on Saturday November 2nd. You May fish however many anglers you would like on your vessel ( $300 entry fee per angler) One boat is equal to one team Guide Registration is also $300 and guides are invited to all tournament functions. Anglers who would like to bring a significant other to the tournament functions may do so by contacting a tournament official and paying a nightly charge of $65.

Contest
The 2024 Bait & Banter tournament will focus on minimizing stress on our local fishery. The
game species will only be removed from the water for a quick video on a measuring board. We
will count the largest of the two game fish and the heaviest of the mystery fish. Anglers/teams
will be required to have a smartphone with video capability with USB cord or email access to
have fish reviewed and counted on our tournament computer. Measuring boards will be supplied
to teams at check in the morning of the tournament as well as the score card. The total length of
the Trout and Redfish coupled with the weight of the mystery fish will determine the first three
places.

Check in Protocol
We will have 3-4 volunteers on the docks of Mainstay starting at 5:20am. At check in, anglers or
boats are provided a measuring board (Ruler) and their shirt. They will also be provided a
wristband for discounts at Mainstay that day.
